San Antonio announces new Head Coach

Bob Dever's coaching ability brought this group together as a team that was noted in the league for being a hard working team that never gave up.  Coach Dever was also selected to be Co-Coach of the WSHL All-Star team that competed at the USA Hockey Junior Jamboree in Blaine, Minnesota this past fall. Good Luck Bob & Blue – Ya’ll will be missed.

On April 1st, Ryan Egan will join the San Antonio Diablos as the new Head Coach, along side General Manager and Assistant Coach John Hosty. For the past few seasons Ryan has coached the Omaha Energy AAA program in Omaha, Nebraska. Ryan has a Bachelors of Education degree in Health and Human Performance from the University of Wisconsin in River Falls. He also has a minor degree in Coaching Education, along with being certified to teach physical education in grades K – 12. His playing career includes being the Senior Captain of his Simley High School hockey team and Captain of his junior team, the Butte Irish of the American Frontier Hockey League in Butte, Montana. While playing in Butte he was recruited to play Division III hockey at the University of Wisconsin in River Falls (NCHA). Coach Egan, a Minnesota native and his wife Melissa, will be moving to San Antonio at the end of April and are excited to join the community. Currently Ryan is hot on the recruiting trail, trying to bring another winning season to the San Antonio Diablos and their fans.
