History

The WSHL incorporated in Southern California in June 1994 and made application to USA Hockey as a Junior B League. Granting of “Interim status” was received and the inauguralseason schedule of 30 games began in October 1994.

1994-1995

Inaugural Season (consisted of a 30 game season)

• Anaheim Junior Ducks (Arrowhead, California) League Champion
• Arizona Bandits (Phoenix, Arizona)
• Las Vegas Junior Aces (Las Vegas, Nevada)
• San Jose Junior Sharks (San Jose, California)
• Utah Lightning (Salt Lake City, Utah)
• Ventura Mariners (Simi Valley, California)

1995-1996

Season consisted of a 32 game schedule with the following 5 teams participating:

• Las Vegas Jr Thunder (Las Vegas, Nevada)
• Formerly Las Vegas Jr    Aces
• San Jose Jr Sharks (San Jose, California)

1996-1997

34 game schedule with the following 7 teams participating:
